Frequently asked question’s

What can I expect from Olive Studio?

Olive Studio is a space for you to reconnect with your body and community . We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive and encouraging environment where every body can move and feel better.

What if I've never done Pilates before?

Our classes are designed for every level of experience. If it is your first time to class, we ask that you arrive 10 minutes early, that gives the instructor time to show you around, assist you in familiarising yourself with the equipment and answer any questions. We are excited to invite you to our studio and trust you'll love the practice as much as we do!

What should I wear?

Please wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely. For your safety and hygiene, we ask you wear grip socks for our Reformer classes (available to purchase in the studio). We also recommend you bring a water bottle and small towel. We provide all other equipment needed.

How do I book a class?

You can book directly into all of our classes via the timetable on the website, or through the Glofox App. All classes must be booked in and paid for in advance.

I have a recovering injury, can I still practice?

This will depend on your injury and whether you have had clearence from your physiotherapist, chiropractor or doctor to return to exercise. Our experienced instructors can provide modifications to ensure you do not place yourself at risk of further damage. Please advise the instructor before the class if you have an existing injury.

Can I practice if I'm pregnant?

Yes, Pilates is a great way to exercise throughout your pregnancy as it helps build strength and stability. Depending on your stage of pregnancy, you will be provided modifications by your instructor.

I've had my baby, when can I return to practice?

We ask clients to receive clearance from their doctor before starting exercise again, which is usually granted six weeks post birth. We highly recommend seeing a women's physio who will be able to give you detailed feedback and advice on your pelvic floor, core and any ab separation you might have.

I'm going on holiday; how do I pause my membership?

If you are off on an adventure, unwell or just have a busy couple of weeks ahead you are welcome to pause your membership for free. The only condition is that it cannot be for less than 1 week or more than 8 weeks. Requests to pause memberships must be made in writing (via email) with a minimum of 7 days notice before your direct debit is taken.

What is your cancellation policy?

We appreciate that life gets busy and things come up, but we require that you cancel your booking at least 5 hours before the start of class to avoid incurring any fees. If you've booked using a class pack, any no-shows or late cancellations will result in forfeiting that visit.

If you've booked using an unlimited pass or membership and do not attend your booked session, you will be charged a $20 'no show' fee.

All late cancellations within an hour of class incur a $10 fee.

How do I cancel my membership?

All memberships can be cancelled after the 12-week minimum membership period.

Cancellations must be sent in writing to hello@olivestudiopilates.com with a minimum 2 weeks’ notice.
